Mentoring MOOC and Network Strategy nearing completion, 15th March 2021: Despite the difficulties of lockdown restrictions in the partner countries, the project has continued to carry out further research with experienced mentors as it develops its Mentoring MOOC.
The project research has led to the development of the Mentoring Competency Framework as well as a Word Cloud of Mentoring Attributes.
The content of the MOOC has been prepared and the next stage will be to add the content to a Moodle Learning Environment. Once the MOOC is ready, comments and feedback will be sought from mentoring organisations and experts. A series of national dissemination events are planned for later in the summer of 2021, with a final conference scheduled to be held in Berlin in September 2021. At the present time it is not known if these will be able to be face to face or virtual events due to the Covid-19 emergency. Full details will be posted when they are available.
mentorNET research on mentoring and network best practice has also been used to develop a Network Strategy document which is nearing completion. Using the theme of the mentorNET Café, an App is being developed to support a virtual mentoring network.
